While we are a media company, we also are volunteers and staff in local churches—hauling cameras before sunrise, editing sermons late at night, and watching how God uses story to soften hearts.

Today, Kolstad Media exists to serve faith-driven organizations with films that are doctrinally faithful, artistically excellent, and emotionally grounded in real stories of impact.

We’re new to film. How early should we bring you into the conversation?

As early as possible. Many of our best projects started before there was a script or clear idea—just a ministry burden or upcoming moment (baptism Sunday, a campaign, a new initiative). We’ll help you clarify the goal, where the film will live, and what kind of story will serve it best.

Do you only work with large churches and organizations?

No. We serve a range of faith communities—from church plants to multi-campus churches and regional nonprofits. Budgets scale with scope, but the same process and level of care applies whether it’s a single testimony film or a full campaign.

Can you align with our specific theological convictions?

Yes. In discovery, we ask about your statement of faith, denominational context, and any convictions that should shape language or imagery. We welcome a theological point person on your side to review scripts and cuts.

How long does a typical project take?

Most projects take 4–8 weeks from kickoff to final delivery, depending on scheduling, travel, and how many stories we’re telling. If you have a fixed ministry date, we’ll work backwards and build a realistic plan together.
