Refunds & Cancellations

Before booking or paying, review your quote or project agreement for its scope, payment arrangement, commitment and cancellation terms. Specific terms in an accepted quote, package-specific written offer or project agreement control over our general terms.

Cancellation and payment

For a one-time project canceled after scheduling but before production begins, the deposit is non-refundable, subject to an applicable express guarantee or statutory right.

After production begins:

• Under an agreed 100% upfront payment arrangement, the full agreed project price is retained. No additional cancellation fee is charged.
• Under an agreed 50% deposit payment arrangement, the total cancellation charge is 75% of the agreed project price: the 50% deposit plus 25% of the total project price.

All payments already made are credited against the applicable charge. Any unpaid portion is due, and any excess is refunded. Annual partnership and retainer commitments follow their separately agreed terms.

Other cancellation circumstances follow your accepted quote or project agreement. Contact us to review those terms and calculate any amount due or refundable. This page does not add a charge or refund exclusion for circumstances those terms do not address.

Our first-campaign fundraising commitment

Every Mission Partnership includes this commitment: If we don't help you raise more than you would without us, we'll keep working with you for free until we do.

Before filming the first campaign, we agree on a written success plan. It defines the fundraising baseline, the campaign goal and a separate agreed success threshold for this guarantee, the measurement period and review date, how results will be tracked, and each team's rollout responsibilities.

If the agreed success threshold is not met at the review date, we continue strategy, refinements to the campaign's existing films and clips, and launch advice at no additional charge until it is met. Additional filming and entirely new films are outside this guarantee. The remedy is continued covered work. This guarantee does not promise a refund, achievement of the entire campaign goal or recovery of the full partnership fee.

The client approves and sends fundraising appeals, chooses recipients, and handles donations. Kolstad Media provides creative work and advice. The written success plan defines measurement; it does not change the agreed price, purchased scope or covered continued work unless both parties separately agree in writing.

Quality and revisions

We work with you toward films you are proud to share, using the revision allowance in your accepted quote or package-specific written offer. That quality standard does not create a separate free-film or satisfaction-refund guarantee.

Existing agreements and your rights

These updates do not remove any refund right, revision allowance or guarantee that already applies under an accepted offer or agreement. General payment and cancellation provisions do not eliminate our express guarantee obligations. Applicable statutory rights are not excluded.
